Isekai Genre
Isekai is one of the most popular genres of anime and manga out there. You may know it from the greats like “That One Time I Got Reincarnated As Slime” and “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation”. And if that does not ring any bells, it is the genre that inspired memes with “Truck Kun” sending people to the other realm. At this point, it should be clear to all the weebs out there. If for some reason it isn’t, you better learn about this popular genre fast.
The Theme of Serial Killer Isekai Ni Oritatsu
Usually, when people are evil, they go to hell in the afterlife, right? Well, in this manga, they are given a second chance at redemption in another world. Sounds interesting, but as you go through every chapter, the series becomes even more intriguing with every chapter.
Before you read on, here’s a necessary spoiler alert for you. Some plot-related details will be mentioned in this blog. 12 humans, who were criminals in their past lives, have been reincarnated in this new world by a deity to fight off the Demon King. After defeating the Demon King, these humans turn evil themselves and now need to be put down.
So, the same deity recruits another human to take those evil humans down in exchange for a second chance. And this gruesome anime starts with the fake protagonist going off at some characters. Right when the manga starts to grow on you, we learn that he’s not even the protagonist. The real protagonist is a woman named Shirukyu, who quickly takes out the fake protagonist Ouga.
To everyone’s shock, Ouga was one of the 12 evil human reincarnates who were to fight the Demon King. With him unalive, there are 11 villains left in the series.
Powers or Gifts of Previous Villains
The first villain Ouga had the gift of comparing power levels. This gift helps stay safe in his fights and gives him an edge. However, we didn’t have a chance to see how strong he was executed early in the series.
Yamazaki, the mafia boss, was a true menace. Checking almost all the boxes of a badass villain, this guy is notorious for executing people who cannot pay back their debts. And his superpower, malice detection, makes him almost unbeatable. Yet, Shirukyu found a way to take him down.
Silsil and Milmil
The twin sister witches, Silsil and Milmil, have Demon King’s daughter hostage with them. Shirukyu is assigned the task of taking down both these sisters. The only power is that they are too strong together. To make things worse, the sisters reside in a tower filled with goblins and other creatures.
Thankfully, Shirikyu has a strong subordinate/mercenary with her. He almost takes down the twin witches thanks to his magical jewel that drops the strength of any attack to 0.1%. But the twins join their powers and make an attack so strong that evaporates Sacred. Now, the real battle is about to happen between the twin witches and protagonist Shirikyu.
Conclusion
This blog should be enough to pique the attention of most manga readers. There is so much madness yet to come. You better start this exciting manga for an experience like no other.
